Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are crucial in todayโs workplace and cannot be overemphasized. Research has shown that when an organization is involved in diversity, equity, and inclusion, it gives room for more productivity at work, attracts top talent, enhances innovation, and encourages employee retention.
At Co-Creation Hub, we are championing and inspiring inclusion, which is the core of what we stand for. Through our management commitment to best practices, equity pay grade, support for work-life balance, diversity, and inclusion training, we also ensure that promotions are performance-based and not assigned based on gender or affinity. We also organize diversity and inclusion training with a focus on unconscious bias, and we have zero tolerance for stigmatization and discrimination based on gender, age, disabilities, or ethnicity.

The purpose of the article is to highlight the importance of inspiring inclusion and sharing strategies, and as we celebrate International Women’s Day globally, it is good to revisit the innovative strategies for inclusion at the workplace and in the community.
Diversity, equity, and inclusion are sometimes used interchangeably, but it is important to understand they are different in terms of their purpose, Diversity deals with recognizing different races, ethnicities, genders, disabilities, religions, sexual orientations, and socio-economic statuses, while Equity ensures fairness and justice in service to others, emphasizing the need for people to provide resources and support based on individual needs and ensure everyone has a chance to thrive and Inclusion refers to creating an atmosphere where everyone feels respected, valued, included, and belong regardless of their ethnicity, race, disability, gender, and social status.

Every woman, regardless of their background, disabilities, skills, level, and social class, deserves to feel valued, respected and included in all aspects of society. As such, the journey towards true inclusion is not just a matter of policy or rhetoric; it’s about fostering a genuine sense of belonging and understanding within communities, workplaces, and homes.ย

As such, to inspire inclusion, we must constantly celebrate the grit, resilience, strength, courage, and devotion of women of all races, ethnicities, tribes, religions, ages, colors, and languages; we must celebrate what unites us as humans: our unique abilities and strengths; our passion and tactical skills; and our hope for a world with economic, political, and social balance towards women’s participation in nation-building.
It is therefore important that organizations do not see inclusion as an afterthought based on achieving specific company goals and objectives or meeting organizations’ targets; rather, inclusion should be a part of a company’s strategies to achieve diversity by ensuring all voices that represent different diversity metrics are adequately included and invited to partake in modification and accommodation through actively fostering an inclusive culture by engaging in DEI initiatives, such as training, awareness, an anonymous survey to understand the state of DEI within their organization, and setting up strategies and metrics to inspire inclusion.

Happy International Womenโs Day! Let’s continue to inspire inclusion.
