GoVote.ng is a platform and campaign to educate Nigerians on how to register to vote in the General Election. The platform simplifies the voting process and serves as an information point to different categories of voters. On the platform, citizens are able to find out if they are registered to vote, where to register and pick up their PVC, what to do if they lost their voterโs card or if they moved house.
In 2015, the launch of the platform was accompanied by a sustained multimedia campaign where infographics, radio programs and a hotline were used to inform people on the registration process as well as to answer any questions that the citizens had on registering to vote.
In 2021, we decided to take the GoVote.ng platform further by launching our premier GoVote Champions Program. The GoVote champions will act as civic education ambassadors. They will undergo enriching political and advocacy training in order to be equipped with the skills they need to be community leaders.
Our goal is to support 5 Million Nigerians to vote in the 2023 elections. We believe that the power of the community and Nigeriaโs Youth can help galvanize voters to not only register for their PVC but show up on election day. By the end of this educational program, ambassadors will be equipped with the skills to make great voting choices. Ambassadors will also be better informed on how to empower your community to engage in the electoral process.
Letโs get to meet some of our Ambassadors:
