THE RUN UP TO ELECTIONS: Are YOU fit for Elections 2015?

2015-01-16 14.47.25

The Presidential Election will be held on what is perceived as a controversial date, not because the Valentines day aura will (nevertheless) bring love to polling venues across the country but because it is taking place before State Elections and the collection of Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) have been dismal.

To navigate what can be a complicated registration and voting process as well as encourage PVC collection, GoVote.ng was launched by Co-Creation Hub & Enough is Enough Nigeria with support from Ford Foundation. The platform has simplified steps that answer critical questions about voting preparation. It also serves as a means for gathering feedback from citizens, which is then relayed to INEC to enable improvements.

While New Year resolutions are taking shape and we prepare for the 2015 elections, GoVote.ng, Truppr and Enough is Enough Nigeria have put together a series of fitness events nationwide to get you fit for Elections 2015.

The first event, an adrenaline-filled 5km run, took place in UNILAG – Fitness enthusiasts woke early on Saturday 10th January to embark on an intense run through the university to create awareness for the upcoming elections and encourage people to pick up their Permanent Voter Cards. It was a fun-filled morning that ended with everyone energized to start the weekend.
