Earlier this year, we sent out a call for applications for the SAIL (Senator Abiru Innovation Lab) Accelerator Programme courtesy of Senator Mukhail Adetokunbo Abiru, the Chairman, Senate Committee on Industries and the Senator representing Lagos East Senatorial District. 

The SAIL Accelerator Programme was designed for young people with business ideas that can be amplified by technology and startups that are addressing social challenges. The main aim of the programme is to accelerate their growth with hands-on business support.

We are excited to kick-off the SAIL Accelerator Programme with the following 15 amazing startups selected to join the cohort:

• UkAged Home: This startup is focused on using smart health devices to monitor the health status of NCDs in local communities using an AI-integrated software application. 
• Skool Me: This is an online educational learning platform aimed at providing world-class educational content and lessons to primary and post-primary school learners. 
• Eve Box: This is a mobile health app for mothers and pregnant women. Eve Box establishes a visible and active online community for a fun, healthy lifestyle. 
• Kampus360 worldwide limited: This is a platform that teaches undergraduates basic in-demand skill sets then connect them to employers of labor within and outside Nigeria. Their aim is to solve the problem of unemployment from a foundational level. 
• We go deliva: This is an online platform that connects customers with businesses and couriers within their city. 
• EkoCrib: This is an online house hunting platform that ensures you do not pay outrageous commitment and agency fees. They make it convenient for house seekers to relocate. 
• Ranodu: This is a tech company in the hospitality and service industry that offers a fast and efficient way to pay for foods and drinks using a QR code. Their solution aims to increase revenue and provide an exceptional customer experience. 
• OJ Technologies LTD: O.J Technologies offers a virtual simulation of medical procedures. Through their tech, health providers and students can learn different medical procedures like surgeries, treatments, use of medical tools, without a physical patient.
• Plastic to Products: This is a tech-driven circular economy solution that simplifies community-based plastic recycling through local manufacturing of recycling machines and processing them into eco-friendly products. 
• Udeki: This is a hyperlocal software platform where you get connected with your neighbors, local businesses, and service experts who can provide you services through video calls, virtual recommendations, and built-in service delivery. 
• FlixMenu: This is an application for digitizing restaurant menus and automating the workflow within a restaurant. 
• ECHub Africa: ECHub is using technology to revamp maintenance work by training and equipping technicians and handymen and connecting them to jobs. 
• Milecent Health: Milecent Health is providing safe and affordable medical diagnostic services in clinically underserved and deprived communities in Nigeria leveraging on mobile technology and low-cost innovations.
• Idunu: This is a source-to-pay platform for fresh produce procurement used by small and mid-size retailers to minimize stock-outs and grow their food business. 
• SNACKUP: This is a startup that produces dried fruits such as dried pineapples, dried bananas, dried coconut flakes, and dried mangoes. The production of dried fruits reduces post-harvest wastage and prevents various health issues. 

Through the SAIL Accelerator Programme, the selected startups will get an opportunity to scale and grow their businesses.
