Upholding Transparency and Fairness in the EdTech Fellowship Selection Process

[June 5, 2025] At Co-creation HUB (CcHUB), we are committed to advancing inclusive innovation across Africa with high standards of transparency, fairness, and accountability in all our programs, including in the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship.

As the implementing partner of the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship in Nigeria, CcHUB supports Nigerian-owned, growth-stage, EdTech companies delivering impactful, technology-driven learning solutions. Through a structured six-month accelerator, fellows gain access to investment networks, expert mentorship, tailored advisory, and a non-equity grant of up to USD 100,000. By the end of 2025, the program will have accelerated 36 Nigerian EdTech startups, strengthening Nigeriaโ€™s education technology ecosystem. We understand that not being selected can be disappointing. In light of recent feedback shared by a few past applicants, we wish to clarify that the Fellowshipโ€™s selection process is rigorous, merit-based, and multi-staged. Applications are reviewed thoroughly via eligibility checks, internal evaluations, interviews, and due diligence, culminating in final decisions made by a joint panel that includes an independent investment committee.

While the program is highly competitive and not all applicants are selected, we treat every submission with respect and provide updates throughout the process. This year, we are also offering additional feedback to finalists.

Explore fellows from previous and current cohorts. We remain open to constructive dialogue and warmly encourage all applicants to stay connected and engaged through our broader ecosystem of resources, events and future opportunities.
