Strengthening Edo State’s Digital Solutions Ecosystem
Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB) has been supporting the Edo State Government to strengthen its digital solutions ecosystem and foster innovation and entrepreneurship. This initiative is supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and is part of the state’s DigiLink program. The goal is to bridge the gap between ecosystem stakeholders and the government to co-create digital solutions that tackle socio-economic challenges in the state.
CcHUB and the Edo State Government are pleased to announce the selection of 50 startups as equity free grantees for the “Strengthening Edo State’s Digital Solutions Ecosystem” program. This initiative focuses on creating economic opportunities for people, especially those who are marginalized and lack access to capital and other resources to grow their digital businesses/products. Thanks to a generous equity-free grant from the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, this program aims to accelerate the growth of innovative digital solutions and promote greater inclusion within Edo State’s expanding digital ecosystem.
The program demonstrates the commitment of CcHUB and the Edo State Government to support under-represented groups by creating economic opportunities. The 50 grantees were selected for the Innovation Challenge and Inclusion-Focused Support Program to enhance their ability to deliver impactful solutions to local socio-economic challenges.
The Innovation Challenge Program provides 26 innovators with grants of $20,000 each. These innovators were chosen for their innovative ideas and products that show strong market potential to address specific needs within Edo State and beyond. The funding will help these startups improve and expand their operations, driving growth and innovation across the region.
